Lifestyle Family Photos

No two families are alike, and every family session should be unique! I want to capture natural and authentic moments so you’ll have photos that capture who your family really is and the unique bonds that you have with each other.

I’ll provide direction and some posing to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, but there will be plenty of games, laughter, and candid moments to make your session truly reflect your family.

These sessions can be done in your home to blend casual portraits with capturing some of your typical (or special!) activities. Or we can go to a DFW location that fits whatever vibe you’re looking for!

“Looking at these pictures makes me SO happy! You completely captured our family… Thank you for all the work you’ve done.”

Day in the Life

So, what exactly is a Day in the Life session?

Imagine a photo shoot that involves...

  • no pressure to find the perfect coordinating outfits...
  • no need to herd everyone in the car and arrive wrinkle-free...
  • a photoshoot that is fun, natural, and simple...
  • a laid-back day at your house - relaxing, having fun, and being totally yourselves!

Basically, you’ll do your regular thing at home, and I’ll document it! These sessions have no posing, limited direction, and plenty of time to be yourselves!

A Day in the Life session is the best way to document the little things that are really, truly, the big things.

What does a Day in the Life session look like?

A Day in the Life session gives you plenty of time to relax, hang out, and just do whatever! You could play some games, bake some cookies, have a couple of meals together, do some crafts, play in the yard, build a fort, carve a pumpkin...you get the idea! You could even go out for ice cream or somewhere equally awesome that your family loves - a restaurant or the park. Pretty much anything you like to do, you’ll have the time to do it and end up with some amazing photos of everyone having fun!

And if things don’t go perfectly and someone isn’t having fun, there’s still plenty of time to recover and keep on taking photos - it’s a low stress, no pressure kind of day.

“Oh my god we are in LOVE with these pictures! We just sat on the couch and cried! Thank you so much for capturing us so well...we are going to keep these forever!! What a great memory of this special new time.”
—Carolyn
