Do we get to keep our high resolution files? What does “unlimited printing rights for personal use” mean?

We feel very strongly that you should have the high resolution files from your own wedding. It’s an important, special day and you want to be able to access the pictures for years to come. All of our packages include a DVD of these files with unlimited printing rights for personal use – this means that you can make as many prints from your disc as you want, as long as you are using them for personal reasons and not selling them or anything crazy like that!

Can you travel for weddings?

We love to travel! We’ll be happy to do a wedding that is out of town, out of state or even out of the country! Our rates include travel within 50 miles of Plano, Texas. Email us for a custom travel quote.

What if none of your packages is quite what I want? Can you customize them?

Definitely! You can choose from our a la carte options and build your own package, or we can customize any of our packages to give you exactly what you want. Email us for a custom quote.

How many pictures do you take at a wedding?

We don’t put a limit on how many pictures we take – we’ll take as many as we need to in order to tell the story of your day! From those we select the best images to give you, and although it varies widely, you can expect to receive at least 500 images from an 8-hour wedding day.

Do you take both color and black & white pictures? What about that thing where part of the picture is in color and the rest is black & white?

We use digital equipment, so we shoot in color and then convert selected images into black & white. We also do selective coloring and any other effects you might want! Whenever we do this, you’ll still get the color version so you can have it both ways.

Do you take the posed formal shots?

Of course! We take the “short and sweet” approach so you can spend more time at your reception with your family and friends, and we ask for a list in advance to make sure we don’t miss anybody.

When will we be able to see our pictures?

We put a lot of work into making sure your pictures look awesome! We don’t just throw them all on a disc; each one is edited and retouched to look its best. You can expect to have all your pictures up in your online gallery within 4 weeks after the wedding.

What is the online gallery?

The online gallery is a password-protected site where all your wedding pictures will be. You can order prints and share all your pictures with your friends and family. And all of your family and friends can order their own pictures, so you don’t have to do it for them! We’ll leave up your gallery for 6 months to give you time to order pictures.

What do we need to do to reserve our date?

We never have more than one wedding on one day, so we require a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer fee of $750 to hold the date. We have a first come, first served basis, so we can’t hold the date until we get these. Once we do, we’re all yours! The retainer is applied to the balance, and the remaining amount is due 14 days before the wedding.

Do we need to feed you?

We do need to eat at some point; we promise your pictures will be much better if we have food in our stomachs! However, we do understand that it can be expensive, so if you are unable to provide us with a meal, we just ask that you let us know in advance so we can make other arrangements.

How does the album process work? Do we get to choose the pictures, or do you?

We feel that since it’s your wedding album, you should have a big say in what pictures go in! We’ll have you pick a number of images based on how many pages the album has, and we’ll add some more pictures that compliment yours and build a customized design, so your album will be completely unique and not like anyone else’s! After we design the album, we’ll show you a preview online, and if there are some things you want to change, we’ll do up to 3 modifications. After you approve the design, your album will be ready in 6-8 weeks.

How far in advance do we need to take our engagement pictures? What
about my bridal portrait?

We strongly suggest scheduling your bridal portrait at least one month before the wedding, just in case something unexpected happens. You’ll want to schedule the timing of your engagement pictures depending on what you’ll be doing with the pictures. For example, if you’re using them for save-the-date cards or as part of your invitations, you’ll want to make sure you have plenty of time to get everything together.

What should we wear for our engagement pictures?

You don’t have to match exactly, but it’s a good idea to wear outfits that are similar (i.e. both wearing jeans or both wearing dressy outfits). Dark, solid colors are best, and try to avoid stripes, patterns, or anything else that distracts from your face.
