Loved taking these front yard photos! What a beautiful yard and what adorable kiddos!
But first, I&#8217;m going to start this off with a sad thing: a TON of my clients have moved away in the past few years. Even sadder, several of my good friends have also moved away in the same recent years!  (Seriously, is it me??)
So, where is this going? Some of those clients who moved are also good friends, like this awesome mom. But in this case, there&#8217;s a silver lining: when I have a chance to visit those friends, I sometimes get the chance to photograph them again. And that&#8217;s a really fun bonus to getting to see them and spend time with them again!
The kids and I jumped in the minivan a couple of weeks ago to visit these incredible friends in Maryland, and my friend and I planned to do a family session while I was there because it had been WAY too long. The plans hit a few bumps, but we were still able to capture some beautiful photos in their gorgeous yard. Their new puppy got to join in the fun too!

The last time I <a href="https://stacietatum.com/crazy-fun-session-home-dallas-lifestyle-family-photographer/">photographed them at their home</a> (in Dallas FIVE years ago), the kids were obviously much younger. Seeing them blossom into &#8220;big kids&#8221; with strong, fun personalities has just been awesome. Saying good-bye was hard; it always is. But I know we&#8217;ll be back! Because keeping in touch with good friends is always worth it. And having the honor of taking their photographs is the icing on the cake.
